Furthermore Carrie’s telekinetic ability is magical in how it is connected to her will. Suddenly, instead of being subjected to the whims of others, Carrie has the ability to impose her will on the world around her. At first, she can merely shatter glass or push children off their bicycles, but later, she can move cars or actually kill people.
