On the waterfront
The human sized Mickey and Minnie are dismantling their show they do so in silence and when then they take off their costumes they are a tiny mother and son. I ask where are you from…nowhere says a man’s voice with an italian sounding accent.
We are on our way to see the Octopus my nephew with his broken arm and blue tongue.
A young attendant stands next to the tank it’s like returning to the primal, the primary school with it’s tiny chairs…the vacated is it vacationing? I had imagined a vast aquarium to house this fabulous creature my pregnant imagnination gave birth to disappointment emptiness and finally death.
The Octopus is dead
The octopus id dead said the young attendant in the red uniform my nephew stared into the empry tank no ghosts no nothing, Just the sound of children and the virtual light of digital camera flashes as people followed the path through the sharks.
We later discovered the octopus had committed suicide the tank was too small and it wasn’t getting enough attention.
They gradually lose colour (the octopuses state of mind is expressed in shifting tones)
when no one is looking at their tricks finally when the tricks failed to be rewarded they stab themselves using their beaks and die.
